The objective of this project was to use graphic design in order to reposition the region of Aquitaine in France food heritage in the future, to rejuvenate its image, to communicate to a younger, more cosmopolitan market, boost exports and to help develop the agro-industries and brands of the region. With my teammate, we decided to create a packaging for the oysters of a fictive oyster farm in the Cap Ferret near Bordeaux.
Why Oysters? Because packaging for oysters barely exist, more and more tourists go to Cap Ferret, Arcachon and it could be a way for them to discover or to get more information about it. For instance, when the cultivation of oysters started, why oysters are beneficial for our health and how we, French people, eat them and in what type of occasions.
We had to find a way to share this part of Aquitaine’s « art de vivre » with a ludic and simple packaging that will give the envy to eat (of course) but also to discover the oyster’s universe.
